Craft : Horrifying Haunted Houses
Make a spooky haunted house filled with ghosts and goblins.
Craft Project Directions: You will need colored construction paper, straws, cotton balls, scissors, larger piece (8 by 12) of black construction paper or heavier weight paper, a large piece of white paper, and a piece of cardboard (optional- use if you want to make your building more sturdy). Hold the black paper vertically. Fold the bottom up 3 inches to create a porch for the front of your house. Next use an exacto knife or scissors to cut out a door flap and window flaps from the black paper. Once you have down that, paste the piece of white paper on the back of the black paper. Now you can add surprises behind each of the windows and the door. Add witches, spiders, ghosts, goblins, vampires, etc. You can color or draw these in or glue in pre-cut ones. Next add a roof to your house. Take a brown or black piece of paper and cut a crooked roof and attach it to the top. Cut a red strip of paper out about 1 1/2 inches wide, fold it back and forth to create a chimney. Glue or tape the chimney onto one of the corners of the house. Decorate your house- add cotton ball spider webs. For extras add a yellow moon coming up behind the house, add an entrance way (cut out a black rectangle, fold along one edge, and tape the edge above the door. Punch two holes in the front corners of the flap and poke straws through so they will stand up).
