Make a wish…

Craft Project Directions:
To create a night sky with a shooting star, you will need two pieces of black paper, a paper strip, a number of stars, and a moon if you like. Cut out a number of stars, decorate them, and set them aside. Next take one of the pieces of black paper and cut a diagonal slit in it- this will be the path that your shooting star will use to travel across the sky! Then also make a small vertical slit about one inch long at the end of the diagonal slit, leaving a space between them. Cut a paper strip about 3/4 inch wide and about the length of the paper from a heavier weight paper- this will be the sliding strip that will move your star across the sky. Cut a small paper strip about an inch and a half long and half an inch wide. Fold it in half and tape on of the halves to the end of the long paper strip. Push the tab through the slit in the paper and slip the end of the paper strip through the vertical slit at the end of the diagonal cut. Glue or tape a large shooting star to the tab. Your star should now shoot back and forth across the page as you move the paper strip. Decorate the front of the black paper with other stars, a moon, and anything else you want to add! To finish up cover up the back of your shooting star picture with the other piece of black paper.
