Ottawa tribe ![]() The Ottawa -'Trader'- tribe lived in the Northeast in parts of Michigan and Ontario. They wre part of the Three Fires Confederacy with the Ojibwa and the Potawatomi. They hunted, fished, farmed wild rice, and traded furs. They built birchbark canoes. One of their famous Chiefs was Chief Pontiac. Many of them died from smallpox. More from Wikipedia |
