Mohawk ![]() The Mohawk -'People of the Flint'- were part of the Iroquois Confederacy and lived in the Northeast in parts of New York, Vermont, and Canada. They built and lived in longhouses. They were hunters and farmers and had three clans, the Turtle, the Bear, and the Wolf. Traditional headwear worn by men had three upright feathers, and their clothes were made from deerskin and fur.
