rivers

Rivers are natural waterways. They are large bodies of water which flow over land in a long channel. They vary considerably in size. Most begin high in the hills or in the mountains. A river's source is its beginning and a river's end is its mouth. Two of the largest rivers in the world are the Nile and the Amazon River. Other famous rivers include the Danube, the Mississippi, the Potomac, the Rhine, the Volga, and the Yangtze.
